Experience Svinkløv Plantation in a whole new way! Our trained MTB guides and instructors know every nook and cranny of the area around Slettestrand, and on this tour they will take you to some of their absolute favourite mountain biking spots. Forget all about following the marked trail! We're heading straight for the best descents, the most challenging uphill sections and the most breathtaking views. We'll be taking various shortcuts and ride some of the sections several times — and you can count on our instructor to dish out handy riding tips along the way to help you get the most out of the tour!
Who can join?
The ride is primarily aimed at adults and teenagers who have tried mountain biking before and can confidently get around on the blue trails. We will primarily be riding on the blue and red trails. No one will be pressured into riding a section that's beyond their abilities, and our instructors are trained to help with that assessment.
If you have not previously tried mountain biking, we would recommend that you start with our course: “MTB for beginners”.
Mountain bike guides, you can rely on
Our mountain bike team consists of 2 regular mountain bike instructors/guides plus a team of external instructors who all have at least the Danish mountain bike instructor certification, D-MTbing1, as well as several years of experience in teaching MTB. You can therefore be sure that your mountain bike guide knows what they are doing and can provide a safe, professional and high-quality mountain bike tour.
Feriecenter Slettestrand is actually one of the very few places in Denmark, that offers training at a level that prepares the instructor for the international exam for mountain bike instructors and guides, EO-MTBing.
Mountain bike rental
If you don't have your own mountain bike, then you are, of course, able to rent one of our cool Whyte rental mountain bikes for the tour - booking is necessary!
NB. The tour will primarily be held in Danish, but your guide also speaks English, and will always make sure that everyone understands what is being said and feels included in the group.

Practical information for the trip
- We meet changed and ready at the tour's start time outside the reception at Feriecenter Slettestrand, Slettestrandvej 140, 9690 Fjerritslev.
- It is a requirement that an approved and in tact bicycle helmet be worn throughout the trip (if you've hired one of our rental bikes, there is a helmet included).
- We also recommend suitable clothing according to the season and activity.
- Bring a full water bottle and possibly a small snack (water bottles can be purchased at the reception).
- Please also bring your health insurance card.
- If you have any illnesses, allergies, physical limitations etc. that you think is relevant for the guide to know, please inform us about this before the start of the tour.
